WELCOME TO Trousdale County FCE . . .
For more than 75 years, a network of friends in communities across the state has shared these common goals:
CLUB COLLECT Keep us, O God from pettiness; let us be large in thought, in word, and in deed; let us be done with faultfinding and self-seeking. May we put away all pretenses and meet each other face to face, without self-pity and without prejudice. May we never be hasty in judgement and always generous. Teach us to put in action our better impulses, straightforward and unafraid; let us take time for all things; make us grow calm, serene and gentle. Grant that we may realize that it is the little things that create differences, that in the big things in life, we are one. And may we strive to touch and to know the great common human heart of us all, and oh, Lord God, let us not forget to be kind! .....Mary Stewart FAMILY AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION CREED As family and community educators of these United States, we will strive to promote a better way of life for all through fellowship, continuing education and service; to provide guidance to our home and communities by the uniting of people to make the world a better place in which to live. May we have pride in our role of homemakers and Family and Community Educators and may our hearts be filled with joy as we serve. Let us always be conscious of the needs of others, and be strengthened by the “Divine Light” that guides us all.
